"Whiteville native Steven E. UIrich has been recognized as a "40 Under 40" business leader by the Alexandria, VA Chamber of Commerce. The 40 Under 40 awards program was created to celebrate 40 outstanding leaders and innovators under the age of 40 who either live or work within the city of Alexandria, Virginia. The Chamber’s selection committee reviewed professional accomplishments, scholastic achievements, and community impact when making their decisions. 

"Additionally, Steven was recently promoted to Associate Vice President at Cassaday & Company, Inc., a nationally recognized wealth management and financial planning firm based in McLean, VA. As one of the investment advisors at Cassaday and a CFP® professional, Steven helps clients achieve their financial goals through a model of integrated wealth management while always operating in their best interest.

"The middle son of Van and Joy Ulrich, Steven was born and raised in Whiteville and graduated as class valedictorian from Columbus Christian Academy in 2005. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in financial management from Bob Jones University, Steven earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and a certificate in financial planning from the Northwestern University School of Professional Studies.

"Steven currently resides in Alexandria, VA with his wife Rebecca and their daughter. They have been members of Capitol Hill Baptist Church, where Steven serves as deacon of parking, in Washington DC since 2009."
